RECEIVE the Sheriff’s Oversight Report for the quarter ending June 30, 2026.

No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
On August 9, 2022, the Board of Supervisors approved the implementation of a quarterly Oversight Report as recommended and outlined by the Public Protection Committee. The proposed quarterly reports will improve communication between the Sheriff’s Office, the Board of Supervisors, and the community while providing greater transparency. The quarterly reports will provide an update regarding the activities of the Sheriff’s Office and allow for questions and public discussion of operational issues.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If the Board does not approve, the Board of Supervisors will not receive the report.
