RECOMMENDATIONS:
Acting as the governing board of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Fire Chief, a purchase order with CDW-G in an amount not to exceed $685,266.17 for the purchase of Cisco User Protection Advantage Bundle for the communication building remodel project.

BACKGROUND:
The Cisco User Protection Advantage bundle provides a consolidated, AI-driven security solution designed to protect hybrid workforces by securing identities, devices, and applications from a single, integrated platform. By combining robust phishing-resistant authentication (Duo Advantage), advanced email threat detection, and comprehensive endpoint security (Secure Endpoint) with Cisco Secure Access (SSE), this suite enables us to move away from patchwork security, drastically reducing the attack surface while streamlining IT operations. This strategic investment strengthens our security posture against modern ransomware and phishing threats, directly aligning with Zero Trust goals to protect data without compromising employee productivity or experience.
This request includes approval for procurement to utilize a participating addendum with OMNIA Mesa 2024056-01 (2024056-01) for Information Technology Solutions Products and Services, and to be conducted via CDW-Government LLC, an approved reseller of the required materials.
This purchase is directly related to the communications center remodel and new server room/data center.
