RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract with The Watershed Project, in an amount not to exceed $600,000 for on-call technical assistance and support for a variety of the San Francisco Bay Region Municipal Regional Stormwater National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit (MRP) requirements for the period of November 1, 2025 through October 31, 2028, Countywide.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

This project is funded by 100% Stormwater Utility Area Assessment Funds. Project No. 7517-6W7100

 

 

BACKGROUND:

This contract is for The Watershed Project to provide on-call technical assistance and support services related to education, outreach, and other activities required under the current MRP under the NPDES Program. Public Works staff, on behalf of Contra Costa County, will contact the contractor as necessary to identify the task and determine the cost and schedule.

 

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Without the approval of this contract by the Board of Supervisors, Contra Costa County will be out of compliance with the MRP from the Water Board.
