BACKGROUND:

A contract with Contra Costa Senior Legal Services was executed on July 17, 2023. The contract did not require a staff report. On December 19, 2023, Contra Costa County received Area Plan contract amendment from the California Department of Aging (CDA).  The amendment provided additional funding for Legal Assistance and Elder Abuse Prevention through the Older American’s Act which is being passed through to contractors. This additional funding to the Contractor will bring the payment limit to $213,138.11 which requires a staff report.
