Report Title: Approve New and Recredentialing Providers and New and Recredentialing Organizational Providers in Contra Costa Health Plan’s Community Provider Network
RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE the list of providers recommended by Contra Costa Health Plan's Peer Review Credentialing Committee and the Health Services Director on August 22, 2023, as required by the State Departments of Health Care Services and Managed Health Care, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact for this action.
BACKGROUND:
The National Committee on Quality Assurance (NCQA) requires that evidence of Board of Supervisor approval must be contained within each Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP) provider’s credentials file. Approval of this list of providers as recommended by the CCHP Medical Director will enable the Contra Costa Health Plan to comply with this requirement.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, CCHP’s Providers would not be appropriately credentialed and not be in compliance with the NCQA.
