Information:

The Community Advisory Board (CAB) on Public Safety Realignment is composed of twelve (12) Voting Members and three (3) Alternate Members. Currently, the CAB includes eleven (11) Voting Members, with one (1) vacant Voting Member seat and three (3) vacant Alternate Member seats.

The CAB maintains an ongoing recruitment process to fill current and future vacancies. Applications are reviewed and evaluated using a standardized scoring process designed to ensure a fair and transparent selection process. Applicants are assessed based on community involvement, relevant and lived experience, demonstrated interest and commitment, and alignment with the CAB's mission. Applicants who meet the established criteria participate in structured interviews. Following the interview process, appointment recommendations are reviewed and approved by the Board before being forwarded to the Community Corrections Partnership (CCP) for final approval.

Referral History and Update:

At the May 14, 2026, CAB General Meeting, the Board approved two (2) applicants for appointment as Alternate Members and forwarded the recommendations to the Community Corrections Partnership (CCP) for final approval.
Following the resignation of Voting Member Traci Simpson, effective May 31, 2026, the Board revisited its previous appointment recommendations to fill the resulting Voting Member vacancy. At the July 9, 2026, CAB General Meeting, the Board considered the previously recommended applicants, Vincent O'Bannon and Eric Jordan, for the vacant Voting Member seat.
