RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE amendments to the Bylaws for the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC), as recommended by the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council on June 17, 2026.

BACKGROUND:
The Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC) advises the Board of Supervisors on the development and implementation of a multi-agency juvenile justice plan with several critical components to specifically target at-risk juveniles, juvenile non-governmental organizations engaged in activities designed to reduce juvenile crime and delinquency countywide through information sharing and appropriate data outcomes.

On June 17, 2026, the Juvenile Justice Coordinating Council (JJCC) approved a series of revisions to the bylaws. These changes impact several sections and articles, as outlined below.

Article II - Membership
Section A. Line 13 revised to add (4)
Section A, Line 14 revised to add (2)
Section A, Line 15 revised to add (2)

Section B. Terms of Office:
Includes a new paragraph and split into two paragraphs:

1. Ex Officio Members: Ex Officio members shall serve during their terms of office. Notification of changes to Ex-Officio Membership must be confirmed in writing by the Ex-Officio member to the Probation Chief, and received prior to publication of the public agenda, in order for new Ex-Officio members to serve in an active role in JJCC or subcommittee meeting capacity.
