Report Title:                     Contract Amendment for the 2024 On-Call Sweeping Services Contract for Various Road Maintenance Work, Countywide.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute individual contract amendments with SCA of CA, LLC and Anrak Corporation, to extend the contract terms through May 20, 2027, with no change to the payment limit, for continued on-call sweeping services to support road maintenance repairs, Countywide.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

 

BACKGROUND:

Works Maintenance crews during routine and emergency road maintenance work. A $600,000 contract was awarded to each of the following contractors: SCA of CA, LLC and Anrak Corporation. The contracts have a term of one year, with the option of two one-year extensions. 

 

On May 13, 2025, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract Amendment No. 1 for SCA of CA, LLC and Anrak Corporation., extending the contract terms from May 20, 2025 through May 20, 2026, with no change to the payment limit.

 

To retain the services of, and to ensure timely payment to, SCA of CA, LLC and Anrak Corporation, the Public Works Director recommends that the Board approve Contract Amendment No. 2. This amendment will extend the term of the contracts through May 20, 2027. There are no changes to the maximum payment limits.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Failure to approve the contract amendment will prevent the Public Works Department from completing routine and emergency road, maintenance work in a timely manner.
