Report Title: Contract with Diablo Valley College for Depot Location for November 3, 2026 General Election
Recommendation: Recommendation of the County Administrator
RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Clerk-Recorder, or designee, to execute a contract with Diablo Valley College for the rental of a Depot Location for the November 3, 2026, General Election.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The Elections Division will provide 150 polling places, 5 Regional Early Voting (REV) Sites, 6 Poll Worker Training Venues, and 10 Depot Locations on Election Night throughout the County. Sites that will be utilized include Diablo Valley College. The User Agreement and Conditions of Use for this site contains an indemnification and hold harmless provision, whereby the County agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Contra Costa Community College District for use of this site as a Depot location. The agreement provides the County with the use of the site on November 3, 2026.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Elections Office will not be able to use this site as a Depot location.
