RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract Amendment Agreement #23-401-4 with Firstwatch Solutions, Inc., a corporation, effective November 1, 2024, to amend Contract #23-401-3, to increase the payment limit by $25,620, from $225,000 to a new payment limit of $252,620, for additional engineering hours for bidirectional integration support and maintenance services with no change in the term January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Amendment will result in additional contractual expenditures of up to $25,620 and will be funded 100% by County Service Area (CSA) EM-1, Measure H funds.
BACKGROUND:
County's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Department has an obligation to provide emergency services to Contra Costa County citizens when needed. In order to maintain communications with County's EMS and other providers, EMS requires data conversions, continuous development and testing of interfaces, training, and hosting services. Contractor has been providing and maintaining a data link to provide computer aided data dispatch (CAD) data services and installation and configuration of the data link for the EMS web-based data surveillance systems including development and interface testing, training, hosting and maintenance services, since January 1, 2017.
On April 26, 2022, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-401-3 with Firstwatch Solutions, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $225,000 to provide web-based data surveillance systems including development and interface testing, training, hosting and maintenance services for the period January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2024.
