IN THE MATTER OF recognizing Symone Jewell as the 2026 Youth Hall of Fame Awardee for Teamwork
WHEREAS, Symone Jewell, a Junior at Northgate High School, is an exceptional student whose dedication to academic excellence is reflected in her outstanding 4.0 GPA, demonstrating discipline and a steadfast commitment to learning; and
WHEREAS, Symone has shown remarkable resilience in overcoming personal challenges while maintaining excellence in both her academic and athletic pursuits; and
WHEREAS, Symone is deeply committed to serving her community through volunteer efforts with her church, local food bank, and the Richmond Homeless Center, showing compassion, leadership and a strong sense of civic responsibility; and
WHEREAS, Symone serves with distinction as a Cadet with Contra Costa Fire Protection District, demonstrating her dedication to public safety and her aspiration to serve others in times of need; and
WHEREAS, Symone has achieved success in athletics as a standout wrestler, earning recognition as one of the top competitors in the state and nation, currently ranked 2nd in California and 6th nationally; and
WHEREAS, Symone serves as Captain of the Women's Wrestling Team at Northgate High School, where she leads by example, mentors younger teammates, and fosters a culture of excellence, teamwork, and perseverance; and
