RECOMMENDATIONS:
RESCIND prior Board action (25-3557) from September 9, 2025, which approved and authorized the Fire Chief, or designee, to execute a contract with Ready Rebound Inc. in an amount not to exceed $805,000 for expert injury help and care coordination services, for the term October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2028; and
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Fire Chief, or designee, to execute a contract with Vertosoft LLC, a reseller of Ready Rebound, in an amount not to exceed $805,000, for expert injury help and care coordination services, for the term October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2028.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% CCCFPD General Operating Fund.
BACKGROUND:
Vertosoft LLC is an authorized reseller of Ready Rebound, a healthcare advocacy and recovery solution specially developed for first responders. Centered on expedited, concierge-level care, the service ensures rapid access to top-tier orthopedic treatment, proactive triage, and seamless communication. By accelerating diagnosis and treatment, Ready Rebound helps members return to duty significantly faster, benefiting both personal well-being and organizational efficiency. Their inclusive model also supports families and retirees, offers significant cost and time savings for departments, and is built on a foundation of trust, empathy, and mission-driven care.
On September 9, 2025 the Board of Directors approved Contra Costa County Fire Protection District to execute a contract with Ready Rebound, Inc., however, the department was later notified that the payment would need to be made to Vertosoft LLC. This board item will correct the prior action to reflect the proper vendor for payment processing.
This agreement includes limitation of liability language.
