RECOMMENDATIONS:
1.APPROVE allocation of Supervisorial District V Community Impact Funds in the amount of $10,000 to support community events hosted by Souljahs, including the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration, Dolores Huerta Celebration, and Juneteenth Celebration & Healthcare Fair, which promote community engagement, cultural awareness, and access to health resources.
2.APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the District V Supervisor, or designee, to enter into contract related to the allocation Community Impact Funds identified in Recommendation No. 1 above.
3.RESCIND Community Impact Fund grant allocation to Souljahs previously authorized as part of Agenda Item No. C.3 on March 4, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no net fiscal impact associated with this item. The action rescinds a prior Community Impact Fund allocation and authorizes a corrected allocation of the same amount, with no change to previously approved funding levels or the Community Impact Fund balance.
BACKGROUND:
On March 4, 2026, the Board of Supervisors approved Agenda Item No. C.3, which included a Community Impact Fund grant allocation to Souljahs. Subsequent review identified the need to rescind the previously authorized allocation and correct the record.
This item will rescind the prior allocation to Souljahs and authorize the revised Community Impact Fund allocation to ensure the Board record accurately reflects the intended funding action.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Community Impact Fund allocations sponsored by Supervisorial District V will not be formally approved by the board.
