RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, a blanket purchase order amendment and participating addendum with Amazon.com Services, LLC., to extend the term through January 18, 2026, with no change to the payment limit of $6,200,000 for access to the online market place under the terms of a master contract awarded by Prince William County Public Schools, Countywide.

BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Department Purchasing Services Division is requesting approval of a blanket purchase order amendment with Amazon.com Services, LLC., to be used by all County Departments for access to Amazon's online marketplace. The supplies are guaranteed through the master contract awarded by Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS), through the OMNIA Cooperative Program. Approval of this purchase order amendment and addendum between Contra Costa County and Amazon.com Services, LLC., allows the County to obtain guaranteed pricing available through the OMNIA Partners contract which was extended through January 18, 2026. The purchase order will support all County departments with access to personal protective equipment, business/quantity discounts, reporting and central controls, free 1 and 2 day shipping and progressive discounts on all products offered through the website. This will allow the County to consolidate purchases, and maximize savings on products acquired from Amazon.com Services, LLC.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without approval of the blanket purchase order amendment and addendum, the County would have multiple purchase orders and accounts that offer no benefits, thereby increasing costs by not taking ad...
