RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Director, a purchase order and related agreement with Pluralsight, LLC subject to Pluralsight's enterprise terms of use, in an amount not to exceed $16,502, for the purchase of Pluralsight Skills Business Platforms for the period November 13, 2024 through November 12, 2027.

FISCAL IMPACT:

$16,501.50; 54% Federal, 38% State, 8% County General Fund, all of which are budgeted in FY24/25.

BACKGROUND:

The Contra Costa County Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD), seeks to purchase Pluralsight Skills Business Platforms that covers a wide array of subjects, including software development which support platforms and tools that the department utilizes. Services are to help County IT staff measure their skill assessment and provide adequate training to improve performance. The Enterprise Terms of Use includes an indemnification provision from the County to Pluralsight and a limitation of liability that caps liability at the amount of fees paid in the 3 months prior to any claim arising. This vendor was selected per procurement requirements outlined in Administrative Bulletin 600.3.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The County will be limited in providing adequate training for the Application Development Team.
