IN THE MATTER OF Recognizing the 40th Anniversary of the Clayton Business and Community Association.


WHEREAS, the Clayton Business and Community Association (CBCA) is observing its 40th Anniversary-a significant milestone reflecting its enduring commitment to the communities it serves in Clayton, California and within Contra Costa County; and

WHEREAS, CBCA's mission is to raise money through events and festivals such as, The CBCA Clayton Art & Wine Festival, The CBCA Clayton BBQ & Brews Festival, The CBCA Clayton Oktoberfest, and the CBCA Clayton Bocce Leagues, to reinvest into the Clayton community; and

WHEREAS, in the last 10-years, the CBCA has returned over $1.2 million to the Clayton community; and

WHEREAS, the CBCA has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships; and

WHEREAS, the CBCA has made donations that have benefited Clayton Valley Village, Diamond Terrace, Clayton Valley Little League, Blue Star Moms, Clayton AAUW, Clayton Valley VFW, Clayton Pride, Clayton Valley Charter High School, Diablo Valley Middle School, Mt. Diablo Elementary School, Dana Hills Swim Team, Junior Achievement, Christmas for Everyone, Adopt-a-Family, Grants to Clayton businesses during the pandemic, the Clayton Community Library, Clayton Historical Society, Clayton Theatre Company, and many more; and

WHEREAS, over $102,000 has gone directly to the City of Clayton to purchase anything from new computers at City Hall, to police cars repairs, city plumbing...
