RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Director of Risk Management, or designee, to execute a contract amendment agreement with Riskonnect, Inc. to increase the payment limit by $38,000 to a new total payment limit of $2,530,598 for the hosted workers’ compensation and liability claims management software system for the term ending December 31, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Workers’ Compensation Internal Service Fund.
BACKGROUND:
Riskonnect, Inc. (formerly Ventiv Technology, Inc.) provides the claims management system used by Risk Management to process current and historical claims data for administration of claims, premium charges, actuarial analysis, and identification of loss trends. The original Master Agreement was in the amount of $1,176,123 for the term from December 31, 2020, through December 31, 2023. The contract, in consultation with County Counsel, is continuous and automatically renews for one year every December, absent prior notification of an intent to terminate.
Master Agreement Amendment #1 extended the term to December 31, 2024, and increased the payment limit to $1,626,458 for continuing services and the addition of new service modules.
Amendment #2 extended the term for two more years through December 31, 2026, and increased the payment limit to $2,481,098. Amendment #3 increased the payment limit to 2,492,598 to add an annual license, maintenance and support fees.
This Amendment #4 is needed for a Subscription of Dedicated SE Americas Hours (Riskonnect Application Support) during November 2026 and December 2026, with an increase in the payment limit of $38,000 to a new total payment limit of $2,530,598 through December 31, 2026.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
