Recommendation: Recommendation of the County Administrator

 

RECOMMENDATIONS:

ADOPT Resolution approving and authorizing the Public Works Director, or designee, to fully close a portion of Springbrook Road between Sherwood Way and Rebecca Court, intermittently from September 14, 2026 through November 20, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., for the purpose of installing a crossroad culvert, Walnut Creek area. (District IV)

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

No fiscal impact.

 

BACKGROUND:

This road closure is necessary for the Springbrook Road Culvert and Sinkhole Repair project, County Project No. 0672-6U6252. The size of the excavation within the road does not allow the Contractor, GradeTech, Inc., to safely maintain through traffic during construction. Gradetech, Inc., will allow fronting properties and emergency traffic through the site during working hours. The excavation will be covered with traffic rated steel plates during non-working hours and the road reopened to through traffic. The applicant shall follow the guidelines set forth by the Public Works Department.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Contractor, GradeTech, Inc, will be unable to close the road to complete the Springbrook Road Culvert and Sinkhole Repair project.
