Report Title:                     Contract Amendment with Riskonnect (formerly Ventiv Technology, Inc.)

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Director of Risk Management, or designee, to execute a contract amendment agreement with Riskonnect (formerly Ventiv Technology, Inc.) to increase the payment limit by $11,500 to a new payment limit of $2,492,598 for the hosted workers’ compensation and liability claims management software system for the term ending December 31, 2026.

FISCAL IMPACT:

Costs are supported through Countywide inter-departmental charges to the Internal Service Fund for workers’ compensation and general liability.

BACKGROUND:

Riskonnect provides the Claims Enterprise claims management system used by Risk Management to process current and historical claims data for administration of claims, premium charges, actuarial analysis, and identification of loss trends.

This Amendment is to increase the payment limit and add a new service module and digital form package. The Digital Basic Form Package Module includes an annual license, maintenance and support fee of $2,500 and 40 hours of setup and implementation fees of $9,000 during the term ending on December 31, 2026.

Risk Management is working with the Purchasing Department to launch a competitive solicitation process to establish a contractor for the service period following this contract agreement.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The County will be limited in its ability to process claims management data.
