Report Title: Purchase Order with R-Computer

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Director of Child Support Services, a purchase order with R-Computer LLC in an amount not to exceed $8,536 for Adobe Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, and Creative Cloud for enterprise, and Adobe End User License Agreement for the period July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This project will be fully funded by allocations from the Federal Government at 66% and the State of California at 34%.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Child Support Services utilizes Adobe Acrobat to create, edit, convert, and publish documents for normal business operations. Adobe Photoshop and Creative Cloud are utilized to produce marketing materials that are used to reach into the community to connect our customers with services. These types of directed marketing efforts will help increase awareness for Child Support Services available in Contra Costa County.
The Terms and Conditions of the purchase order include a Limitation of Liability and Indemnification provision approved by County Counsel.
This action is a renewal of the Adobe Acrobat Pro licenses through a reseller, R-Computer. R-Computer, an SBE, is an authorized reseller of Adobe Acrobat Pro software.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, the department will have difficulty completing business operations and marketing outreach for Child Support Services.
