RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT presentation by Robert Tufel, CEO of Cancer Support Community, regarding a proposed Cancer Support Center in Lafayette, CA.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No Fiscal Impact.
BACKGROUND:
This presentation will cover the growing number of people diagnosed with cancer each year, the need for more support services, and Cancer Support Community’s plans to build a new cancer support center in Lafayette which will benefit the entire county. They have reached 80% of thier $25M goal to build the center. The presentation will cover their plans and how the county can support these efforts.
