RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Interim Health Services Director, a purchase order with MGMA-ACMPE in an amount not to exceed $72,027, and data agreement with MGMA-ACMPE for access to national and regional compensation benchmarking data to support compensation analysis for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC), for the period August 5, 2025 through August 4, 2028, and annually thereafter.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this action will result in expenditures of up to $72,027 over a three-year period and will be funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
MGMA is a medical group management organization with a proprietary database known as DataDive that provides healthcare benchmarks and data on compensation for various levels of staff. CCRMC has used MGMA's DataDive for practice operations, since 2022.
On October 24, 2023, the Board of Supervisors approved agenda item C.32 to execute purchase order #29149 with MGMA-ACMPE in an amount not to exceed $24,000, and a related agreement, for the period from April 1, 2023, through March 31, 2026. This request is to create a new purchase order for a new three-year agreement to access to their provider, management and staff compensation data sets that include statistical tables, reports, summaries, and research findings which will assist CCRMC Administration in evaluating contract terms during agreement negotiations. This purchase was approved by the Public Works Department's Purchsing Division via sole source.
