Report Title: Purchase Order and Related Software License Agreement with Jurybox Technologies, LLC
Recommendation: Recommendation of the County Administrator

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent or designee to execute, on behalf of the District Attorney, a purchase order and related license agreement with Jurybox Technologies, LLC in an amount not to exceed $4,250 for the usage of a digital evidence presentation and case management software, for the period September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this action will result in expenditures up to $4,250 which have been included in the Department’s FY 26-27 Budget.
BACKGROUND:
The District Attorney’s Office uses digitization and case management software from Jurybox Technologies, LLC to enable prosecutors to organize, display, and annotate exhibits, videos, and other materials during trial. The software is used by District Attorney employees to enhance courtroom efficiency and support effective jury communication.
Approval of the purchase order and related Software License Agreement will allow the District Attorney’s Office to continue using this tool in support of trial preparation and courtroom presentation. This Software License Agreement includes limitation of liability and indemnification under which the County agrees to hold Jurybox Technologies harmless from any claims arising out of the performance under this agreement.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without executing the Purchase Order and related Software License Agreement with Jurybox Technologies, LLC, the District Attorney’s Office cannot continue to digitize evidence presentation and manage cases effectively to improve courtroom efficiency and support effective jury communication.
