Report Title: IHSS Public Authority Advisory Committee Resignation of District IV Seat

RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the resignation of Brock Dubbles, DECLARE a vacancy of the District IV seat on the In Home Supportive Services Public Authority Advisory Committee for term ending March 6, 2028, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, as recommended by the Employment and Human Services Director.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
On June 4, 2024, the Board of Supervisors appointed Brock Dubbles to the District IV seat on the In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority Advisory committee with a term ending March 6, 2028. Mr. Dubbles has moved out of the county and is not able to serve the rest of his term.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The vacancy will not be declared, hindering the ability to recruit and fill the seat, and causing issues with achieving quorum for the Committee, which will potentially impact the Committee’s ability to hold meetings.
