Report Title: ACCEPT the 2026 Annual Report of the Managed Care Commission

RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the 2026 Annual Report of the Managed Care Commission (MCC) for the reporting period January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact for this action.
BACKGROUND:
The Managed Care Commission (MCC) was established in May 1995 to replace the Contra Costa Health Plan Advisory Board and the Medi-Cal Advisory Planning Commission. The purpose of the Commission was to study health care concerns for Medi-Cal, Medicare, Commercial, and Medically Indigent persons served by Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP).
The MCC has submitted its 2026 Annual Report covering the period January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2026, with Dr. Irene Lo serving as the staff person during the reporting period. The report reflects the following:
• Activities: No activities were conducted during the reporting period.
• Accomplishments: No accomplishments were recorded for this reporting period.
• Membership: All MCC membership expired as of October 2025, leaving the Commission without any active members.
• Training/Certification: No training or certification occurred during the reporting period.
• Chair: No Chair is currently serving.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The 2026 Annual MCC Report will not be received.
