RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Amendment No. 2 to the participating addendum with Quadient Leasing USA, Inc. and Quadient, Inc., to add the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, and increase the payment limit by $110,000 to a new payment limit of $800,000 for mailing equipment and related supplies and maintenance, in various County locations under the terms of the Master Contract awarded by the State of Arizona, Countywide.

BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa Purchasing Services is requesting approval of Amendment No. 2 to add the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District to the Participating Addendum, for the lease of mailing equipment, related supplies, and maintenance, offered through Quadient Leasing USA, Inc. and Quadient, Inc. These products are available through the master contract awarded by the State of Arizona, State Procurement Office in conjunction with NASPO ValuePoint, Arizona Contract No. CTR058809. Approval of Amendment No. 2 between Contra Costa County and Quadient Leasing USA, Inc. and Quadient, Inc., allows the County to continue to obtain guaranteed pricing available through the State of Arizona, State Procurement Office in conjunction with NASPO ValuePoint and provide discounts off published list prices.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without approval of this amendment, the County would be paying full price on the lease of mailing equipment, related supplies, and maintenance.
