DENY claims filed by Alana Allerton; Lilian Chavez; Kimberly Davis; Karen Jones; Lori & Gary Lawhon; Belen Andrea Masry; Vanessa E. Pimenta obo herself & minor E.M.C.P. (4); Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District; and William E. Schupp.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

BACKGROUND:

 

Alana Allerton: Personal injury claim related to vehicle accident in an amount to exceed $10,000.

Lilian Chavez: Property claim for missing money after warrant search in the amount of $10,000.

Kimberly Davis: Medical malpractice claim related to complications from foot surgery in an amount to exceed $10,000.

Karen Jones: Personal injury claim related to sheriff pursuit in the amount of $1,000,000.

Lori & Gary Lawhon: Property claim for damage to vehicle in the amount of $7,000.

Belen Andrea Masry: Property claim for damage to fence in the amount of $1,800.

Vanessa E. Pimenta obo herself & minor E.M.C.P. (4): Medical malpractice claim related to birth injury in an undisclosed amount.

Pleasant Hill Recreation & Park District:  Indemnity claim related to alleged dangerous condition in an unknown amount.

William E. Schupp: Indemnity claim for trip and fall in an amount to exceed $35,000.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

 

Not acting on the claims could extend the claimants’ time limits to file actions against the County.
