At the April 14th, 2026 LMHAC meeting the committee was provided with an update from Erica McWhorter regarding the LMHA Grant Administrative Workgroup focus to support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the LMHAC’s annual grant competition, ensuring all grant administration aligns with the body’s adopted Grant Plan priorities. In addition, this workgroup supports efforts to strengthen fiscal stewardship that formalizes a grant structure that facilitates transparency and feasibility of the among of grant funds and their scope of funding projects and activities annually. The LMHAC Budget Policy has been developed to propose several budget planning policies to guide and structure the grants administration as part of program improvement and formalization.
