RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #23-789 with Trace3, LLC, a limited liability company, in an amount not to exceed $45,620, for specialized information technology consulting services and support for the Contra Costa Health Services data centers for the period from November 28, 2023, through November 27, 2024.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this contract will result in annual expenditures of up to $45,620 and will be funded as budgeted by the department in FY 2023-24, by 100% Hospital Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
This contract meets the information technology needs of the County, allowing a Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) subject matter expert to provide guidance and support regarding Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS') new software-defined data center(s) solutions with services to include software upgrades, monthly health checks and assistance with issues, troubleshooting, and configuring new services for the Contra Costa Health Services Department's Information Systems Unit.
This resource will aid CCHS' network engineering team with the operation of the advanced ACI solution(s) located at the department data center locations at 2380 Bisso Lane, Concord, CA., and 2311 Loveridge Rd, Pittsburg, CA. CCHS solicited for the services; of the three respondents (Groupware (now Trace3), Presidio, and GDT), CCHS selected Trace 3 for its expert knowledge of current deployment and the initial deployment of the ACI advanced solution deployment.
