RECOMMENDATIONS:

AUTHORIZE relief of cash shortage in the Office of the Clerk-Recorder in the amount of $490.00                     

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Cash shortage of $490.00 will be funded with 100% General Fund.

 

 

BACKGROUND:

In accordance with the provisions of Administrative Bulletin 207.7, the Auditor-Controller has verified and concurs with the report of a total cash shortage in the amount of $490.00 in the Office of the Clerk-Recorder.

 

The shortage occurred as a result of payment made to the office by the IRS for recorded liens that was intercepted as part of the Treasury Offset Program due to another County agency owing money to the IRS.

 

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The shortage will not be relieved, and cash will not be in balance.
