RECOMMENDATIONS:
ADOPT Resolution ratifying the prior decision of the Public Works Director, or designee, to fully close a portion of Second Street, between Parker Avenue and John Street, on August 8, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., for the purpose of the New Horizons Career Development Center's annual "Back-to-School Block Party," Rodeo area. FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.

BACKGROUND:
The New Horizons Career Development Center hosted its annual "Back-to-School Block Party" and is requesting after-the-fact approval for the associated road closure. The event provided school supplies, live music, food, games, and other family-friendly activities. New Horizons Career Development Center shall follow guidelines set forth by the Public Works Department.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
New Horizons Career Development Center will not have Board approval for completed road closure.
