Report Title: Economic Opportunity Council Resignation & Declare Vacancy
Recommendation: Recommendation of the County Administrator
RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the resignation of Monisha Merchant, DECLARE a vacancy in the Private/Non-Profit Sector 4 seat on the Economic Opportunity Council for a term ending on June 30, 2027, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact for this action.
BACKGROUND:
Monisha Merchant was appointed by the Board of Supervisors on June 24, 2025 with a term ending in June 30, 2027.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seat would not be declared vacant which would hinder the ability to recruit to fill the position and could cause quorum issues for the body.
