RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #24-681-82(20) with Modesto Residential Living Center, LLC, a limited liability company (formerly Modesto Residential Living Center, Inc.), in an amount not to exceed $510,684, to provide augmented board and care services for the period from September 1, 2023 through August 31, 2024.

FISCAL IMPACT:
This contract will result in contractual service expenditures of up to $510,684 and will be funded as budgeted by the department in FY 2023-24, by 33% Mental Health Realignment ($168,5256) and 67% Mental Health Services Act ($342,158). (Rate increase)

BACKGROUND:
The Behavioral Health Services Department has been contracting with Modesto Residential Living Center, LLC, since September 1, 2007 to provide augmented board and care services for mentally ill adults.

This contract meets the social needs of the County's population by augmenting room and board and providing twenty-four hour emergency residential care and supervision to eligible mentally disordered clients, who are specifically referred by the Mental Health Program Staff and who are served by County Mental Health Services. This contract is entered into under and subject to the following legal authorities: California Government Code ?? 26227; California Code of Regulations, Title 9, Section 523 et seq.; California Welfare and Institutions Code Section (5600 et. seq., known as The Bronzan-McCorquodale Act).
