Report Title: Contract with Vehicle Maintenance Equipment LLC for Fleet Vehicle Lifts Maintenance and Repair Services, Countywide.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Vehicle Maintenance Equipment LLC, in an amount not to exceed $1,000,000, to provide fleet vehicle lifts maintenance and repair services for the period of May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2029, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Fleet Internal Service Fund
BACKGROUND:
Public Works Fleet Services oversees maintenance and repair operations for more than 1,700 vehicles. The vehicle lifts located in the fleet shop are utilized daily to support fleet operations and require ongoing, as-needed maintenance and repair services.
In October 2025, the Public Works Department conducted a formal solicitation for fleet vehicle lifts maintenance and repair services, posting the Request for Proposal on BidNet Direct (RFP_F-CONTR-0000000137). Two proposals were received and Vehicle Maintenance Equipment LLC was awarded the contract.
Fleet Services is requesting approval of a service contract with Vehicle Maintenance Equipment LLC for the term May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2029 in the amount of $1,000,000.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Without approval of this contract, there will be no vendor available to service and repair the fleet shop vehicle lifts, which would disrupt fleet operations, Countywide.
