Report Title: RESIGNATION FROM THE MEASURE X COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD

RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the resignation of Steven Bliss, effective immediately; DECLARE a vacancy in the District II, Seat 2 on the Measure X Community Advisory Board, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy, for a term ending March 31, 2027, as recommended by Supervisor Candace Andersen.

BACKGROUND:
Voters passed Measure X, a one-half cent sales tax levied countywide (exempting food sales), in November 2020. Collection of the sales tax began April 1, 2021 and were available for distribution in FY 2021-22. The Board of Supervisors approved the creation of a 17-member Community Advisory Board to recommend funding priorities of revenue received under Measure X funds.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seat will remain filled, and recruitment cannot begin.
