RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the Industrial Safety Ordinance Annual Report submitted by Contra Costa Health Hazardous Materials Programs on the Ordinance as specified.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact for this action.
BACKGROUND:
Chapter 450-8 of the County Ordinance code effective in 2000 and as amended in 2006 and 2014 requires the department to prepare an annual report that summarizes the impact and effectiveness of the Industrial Safety Ordinance for the Safety Programs at the regulated facilities.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, a report that summarizes the 2023 Industrial Safety Ordinance activities would not be made available to the public.
