RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to execute a contract amendment with the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District, effective April 1, 2024, to increase the payment limit by $215,000 to a new payment limit of $745,000 and extend the term through September 30, 2025, to provide on-call technical and support services related to education, outreach, and other activities required by the current Municipal Regional Permit (MRP) under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

This project is funded by 100% Stormwater Utility Area Assessment Funds.

 

BACKGROUND:

This contract is for the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District to provide on-call technical assistance and support services related to education, outreach, and other activities required under the current MRP under the NPDES Program. Public Works staff, on behalf of the County, will contact the contractor as necessary to identify the task and determine the cost and schedule.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

Without the approval of this contract amendment by the Board of Supervisors, Contra Costa County will be out of compliance with the MRP from the California Regional Water Quality Control Board, San Francisco Bay Region.
