Report Title: Cancellation of Contract #23-090-1 with Pacific Medical Care

RECOMMENDATIONS:
RATIFY the Health Services Director’s cancellation by written mutual consent of Personal Services Contract #23-090-1 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #23-090-2 through #23-090-8) with Pacific Medical Care, a corporation, effective October 1, 2025.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This contract was funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
On December 6, 1988, the Board of Supervisors approved Personal Services Contract #23-090-1 (as amended by Amendment Agreements #23-090-2 through #23-090-8) with Pacific Medical Care, for the provision of financial management services for the County's Health Services Department, for the period beginning December 1, 1988, and automatically renewed from year to year until terminated.
In accordance with Personal Services Contract #23-090-1, Special Conditions paragraph 3 (Termination), the County and Contractor have agreed to cancel the contract by written mutual consent effective October 1, 2025.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this Board Order is not approved, the mutual cancellation agreement made between contractor and Health Services Director would not be ratified by the Board of Supervisors.
