Report Title: Purchase Order with Convergint Technologies LLC

RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Health Services Director, a purchase order with Convergint Technologies LLC in an amount not to exceed $268,436 and a Participating Addendum for a metal detector system for the Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) effective upon the date of the final signature through February 18, 2029, subject to approval by the County Administrator and approval as to form by County Counsel.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this action will result in an expenditure of up to $268,436 and will be funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.
BACKGROUND:
Convergint Technologies LLC will supply a metal detector system from Xtract One (US) Technologies Inc., featuring AI-powered solutions to improve safety and operational efficiency. Assembly Bill 2975 requires hospitals to install automated weapons detection devices at entrances.
Convergint is an approved Sourcewell vendor. Sourcewell, a cooperative purchasing organization, competitively awarded Master Agreement #121024-CTL to Convergint Technologies LLC for facility security systems, equipment, and software related services. Xtract One (US) Technologies Inc. is authorized to sell products under this agreement.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, CCRMC will be unable to purchase a metal detector system to protect staff and patients and will not comply with AB 2975.
