Report Title:                     Purchase Order with Zoho Corporation

Recommendation of the County Administrator Recommendation of Board Committee

RECOMMENDATIONS:

RESCIND Board Action of March 5th, 2023 (C.68), which pertained to authorizing a purchase order with Zoho Corporation; and APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the County Librarian, a purchase order including modified indemnification and limitation of liability with Zoho Corporation in an amount not to exceed $4,600 for the renewal of ManageEngine OpManager Plus software subscription, effective upon execution and for one year thereafter.

FISCAL IMPACT:

100% Library Fund.

BACKGROUND:

Library Department has and continues to use ManageEngine software provided by Zoho Corporation to manage networks, servers, applications, service desk, Active Directory, security, desktops, and mobile devices.

The Terms and Conditions of the purchase order include a Limitation of Liability and Indemnification provision, approved by County Counsel.

On March 5, 2023 (C.68), the Board of Supervisors approved a Purchase Order in an amount not to exceed $4,600 for ManageEngine OpManager Plus software from Zoho Corporation, for the provision of a software subscription for the period October 30, 2023, through October 29, 2024.

This Board Order adjusts the term from October 30, 2023, through October 29, 2024, to becoming effective upon execution and for one year thereafter.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

If the Purchase Order is not approved, the Contra Costa County Library’s IT operations will not be able to function as they have been, and library services to patrons will be impacted.
