RECOMMENDATIONS:
ACCEPT the resignation of Kiara Pereira, and DECLARE a vacancy in the At-Large Environmental Justice Seat 1 on the Sustainability Commission for a term ending March 31, 2027, and DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to post the vacancy.
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Conservation and Development was notified of Kiara Pereira’s resignation from the Sustainability Commission effective immediately on February 9, 2026.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If unapproved, the Sustainability Commission would not have an accurate roster of members and vacancies would not be posted.
