RECOMMENDATIONS:

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Director, a purchase order with General Datatech, L.P. for the purchase of Cisco Meraki Systems Manager Enterprise Device License, in an amount not to exceed $84,048 for the period December 17, 2024 through December 16, 2027.

FISCAL IMPACT:

$84,048: 59% Federal, 35% State, 6% County funds; All of which is budgeted in FY 24/25.

BACKGROUND:

The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) is seeking to renew the Meraki Systems Device License to manage the department's fleet of mobile devices. EHSD will use Meraki to push mobile applications and run reports for security of its devices. Meraki was selected due to their ability to meet our needs as well as the number of other county departments already using the product. The Service Level Agreement includes a limitation of liability capping liability at the greater of fees paid in the 12 months prior to the claim or $100,000. This vendor was selected per procurement requirements outlined in Administrative Bulletin 600.3.

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

The County will be limited in running security reports for our devices.
