RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller, or designee, to pay $41,161.20 to Steris Corporation, for the provision of repair and maintenance services to infection prevention equipment at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) and Contra Costa Health Centers, during the period March 1, 2024 through May 31, 2024, as recommended by the Health Services Director.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this payment will result in a one-time expenditure of up to $41,161.20 and will be funded 100% by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.

BACKGROUND:
CCRMC and Contra Costa Health Centers have an obligation to provide essential health care services in its facilities and has contracted with Steris Corporation for its maintenance and repair services for County's infection prevention equipment since June 2019. Contractor's professional and reliable scheduled maintenance services and emergency repair availability when requested have proven to be an asset to County's crucial services by providing the essential maintenance services that keep medical equipment at the ready when infection prevention medical equipment is required in a reliable and effective manner.

This Contract is entered into under and subject to the following legal authorities: California Government Code ?? 26227 and 31000; Health and Safety Code ? 1451. Health Services Personnel approved this Contract to ensure no conflicts with labor relations. This Contractor has been approved by the Public Works Department's Purchasing Division on August 14, 2024.
