RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Interim Health Services Director, or designee, to execute on behalf of the County Contract #74-554-10 with NAMI Contra Costa, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $744,591, to provide a Family Volunteer Network Program to support families in Contra Costa County, who have loved ones with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), for the period July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Contract will result in annual expenditures of up to $744,591 and will be funded as budgeted by the department in FY 2025-26, 100% by Mental Health Services Act (MHSA).

BACKGROUND:
The Behavioral Health Services Department has been contracting with NAMI Contra Costa since January 2018 to develop and implement a Family Volunteer Network Program which will provide consultation and support to families in Contra Costa County who have loved ones with SPMI. This program will address the unique needs of the participants in developing coping strategies and handling challenges posed by mental illness within their families. This Contract is entered into under and subject to the following legal authorities: California Government Code ? 26227. Health Services Personnel approved this contract to ensure no conflicts with labor relations. Contractor has been a longstanding partner in treating Contra Costa clients, fostering a deep understanding of our organization's mission, values and long-term objectives. They possess unmatched expertise in a highly specialized area of Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) services, essential for achieving optimal results and ensuring the highest level of client care.
