Report Title: Appropriation & Revenue Adjustment for the purchase of 8 Road Maintenance ISF vehicles.
☒Recommendation of the County Administrator ☐ Recommendation of Board Committee
RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE FY 2024/25 Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. BDA-24-01059 and AUTHORIZE the transfer of appropriations in the amount of $616,961 from Road Maintenance to ISF Fleet Services for the purchase of 8 ISF trucks, as recommended by the Public Works Director, Countywide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This action increases appropriations in ISF Fleet Services (fund 150100) and reduces appropriations in Road Maintenance (fund 110800) by $616,961. (100% Local Road Funds)
BACKGROUND:
The Public Works Road Maintenance Division is replacing 8 trucks at the end of their useful life with 7 electric Ford Lightning trucks and 1 F-250 diesel truck. These purchases align with the County’s goal to purchase zero-emission vehicles (ZEV) to help reduce smog-causing pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions to the extent applicable.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If not approved, the Road Maintenance Division will not be able to purchase vehicles needed to provide services throughout the County.
