RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPOINT Christine Burke, Danville Resident, to the District II Seat on the In-Home Supportive Services Public Authority Advisory Committee for a term with an expiration date of May 25, 2026, as recommended by Supervisor Candace Andersen.

BACKGROUND:
The Board established the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Public Authority Advisory Committee in March 1998. Terms of membership are four years. The Advisory Committee consists of 11 members: four Consumers aged 60 or older, two Consumers aged under 60, and one member from each Supervisorial District.
Supervisor Andersen has been advertising this vacancy for months, received one application, met with Ms. Burke and feels she will be a positive addition to the committee.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The seat will remain vacant, and the Committee will continue to struggle with quorum issues.
