Report Title: Industrial Safety Ordinance Annual Report
Recommendation: Recommendation of the County Administrator
RECOMMENDATIONS:
Acting as the governing board of the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, APPROVE the Industrial Safety Ordinance Report submitted by Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Hazardous Materials Programs (HMP) on the Ordinance as specified.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND:
Chapter 450-8 of the County Ordinance code effective in 2000 and as amended in 2006, 2014, and 2024 requires the department to prepare an annual report that summarizes the impact and effectiveness of the Industrial Safety Ordinance for the Safety Programs at the regulated facilities.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this action is not approved, a report that summarizes the 2025 Industrial Safety Ordinance activities would not be made available to the public.
