RECOMMENDATIONS:
APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute on behalf of the Health Services Director, a purchase order with Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $4,000,000 for the purchase of trauma implant supplies for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center (CCRMC) for the period of August 1, 2024, through July 31, 2027.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this action will result in expenditures of up to $4,000,000 over a three-year period and will be funded by Hospital Enterprise Fund I revenues.

BACKGROUND:
On June 28, 2022, the Purchasing Agent executed purchase order #25414 with Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Inc. in the amount of $199,000 to purchase supplies, instruments, and minor equipment as needed by CCRMC for the period from July 1, 2022 through May 31, 2024.

On April 9, 2024 the Board of Supervisors approved item C.52 to execute an amendment to purchase order #25414 to increase the payment limit to $1,099,000 and extend the term through July 31, 2024 for the purchase of trauma implant supplies for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center.
