RECOMMENDATIONS:

 

APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee to execute on behalf of the Employment and Human Services Director a purchase order with OmniPro LLC to procure approximately 600 Lenovo desktop computers in an amount not to exceed $720,395 for the period September 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

$720,395: 59% Federal, 35% State, 6% County General Fund; all of which is budgeted in FY24/25

 

BACKGROUND:

 

The Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD), needs to replace personal computers (PCs) to support Windows 10. This purchase order will support new hires and upgrade a portion of our public use PC’s to Windows 10.

 

The Board approved the initial purchase order on April 27, 2021 (C.52) and renewed with Board approval on April 12, 2022 (C.77) and again on October 24, 2023 (24-0173). This vendor was selected per procurement requirements outlined in Administrative Bulletin 600.3.

 

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:

 

The County, Employment and Human Services Department, will be unable to go forward with this technology upgrade.
