In the matter of: Recognizing the Grand Opening of Original Joe's Walnut Creek
WHEREAS, Original Joe's represents an 87-year legacy of Italian-American culinary tradition, having served the Bay Area community since 1937 with a commitment to quality food, generous hospitality, and the creation of memorable dining experiences; and
WHEREAS, the Duggan family has dedicated three generations to preserving and expanding the Original Joe's tradition, with Elena and John Duggan Jr. continuing the family's commitment to serving the community with excellence and maintaining the restaurant's reputation as a neighborhood gathering place; and
WHEREAS, Original Joe's Walnut Creek opening marks a historic milestone as the restaurant's first location in the East Bay, representing significant expansion and investment in Contra Costa County; and
WHEREAS, this new establishment at 1300 S. Main Street will bring the beloved "Joe's Concept" to Walnut Creek, featuring the signature exhibition kitchen, comfortable leather booths, and renowned Italian-American menu that has made Original Joe's a Bay Area institution; and
